The program

The PEPR Recycling, Recyclability and Re-use of Materials (Priority Research Programs and Equipment) is part of the France 2030 Acceleration Strategy. Its objective is the emergence of a French model in the field of recycled raw materials (RRM) and their reincorporation into new products.

The program brings together more than 70 teams across France, and is divided into 11 research areas. 5 “material” axes (plastics, strategic metals, composite materials, paper-cardboard and textiles), 4 “systemic” axes (batteries, new energy technologies, WEEE, household waste) and 2 cross-disciplinary axes (human and social sciences and numerique).

Our missions

The PEPR Recycling program aims to meet the ecological, economic and technological challenges required for the transition to a competitive, environmentally-friendly circular economy. Taking a systemic and holistic approach, the program focuses on five major families of materials used on a daily basis: plastics, composites, textiles, strategic metals and paper/cardboard, but also on sectors such as batteries, new energy technologies (hydrogen, wind power, photovoltaics), electrical and electronic waste (WEEE) and household waste (excluding glass and organic waste).
